many people don't know that you can achieve a sexy curl with a flatiron, while sealing in the moisture and shine in the hair cuticle. today i'm going to give you a mini tutorial on how to achieve this look. pictures will soon follow sorry ;)
in this picture my client came in and i of course shampooed and gave her a great scalp massage= more tips$$
i then offered her a PM Shine in Chocoholic which is a demi-permanent soy-protein glaze aka Lunchtime Color= 20 minute processing time
i then proceeded to rough dry the hair and use the Smoothing iron from PM.
you divide the hair and take 1inch sections and run the smoothing iron through it.
you then run it through a second time stopping midshaft then take twist your hand under so the hair winds over the iron.
now you will have the iron up to the scalp and the hair ends would be would be over the iron.
hold the the iron and the hair end and pull the iron through, leaving you wil sexy flowing curls!!!
so a few months ago i was asked to do a photoshoot for a young model who wanted new photographs for her portfolio. so of course i agreed and was scared shit because it had been my first shoot... ever! i had to incorporate about 5 different hair and makeup looks for her within about a 4hour period and was a little overwhelmed. here's the result and please let me know your opinion.
okay well where do i begin? we all rave about MAC's Fix+ and for those of you who never heard of it, where have you been?? Fix+ delivers a spritz of vitamins and minerals to your skin that is infused with green tea and chamomile. It's made to add radiance and to finish or set makeup. it comes with an investment of $15USD for 3.4fl oz. now the latter is Paul Mitchell's Awapuhi Mist that replenishes natural moisture to hair and body (using hawaiin awapuhi) as well as reactivates styling product and sets makeup. this comes with an investment of $8.50USD for 6.8fl oz. You decide, but my personal fave has to be PM's. I use it for everything!
okay so today is my first post on blogspot.com and i'll be perfectly honest this is a little bit overwhelming. i'm not really going to write much but leave you with a recent makeup application i did on my friend Veronica. we had limited amount of time because she had work that night and i didn't have my makeup kit so i had to improvise. most of the makeup is FLIRT from Kohl's Department Store and i have to say it actually came out pretty nice. she loved it even though i was out of my comfort zone being that it wasn't MAC, but take a look and let me kow what you think. *be nice*
